This app is compatible with the latest version of Xcode and SwiftUI. All names are hosted on a local JSON file, and you can easily add more names as needed. The JSON contains over 1950+ names with a short meaning and gender. Each time a user likes a name, it’s saved to Firebase so the app can detect when their partner has liked that same name. Powered by ChatGPT, the app lets you explore baby names in limitless ways. Ask questions, choose from ready‑made prompts, compare favorites, generate fresh name ideas, even craft poems. Your imagination sets the limit—ask anything or design your own prompt.
*** WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED ***
You will need a Mac computer with Xcode 15+. This app requires iOS 17+. All app templates on this website are for iPhones without iPad support. An AdMob account is necessary if you want to show ads in the app. We provide you with some basic PDF documentation on how to replace the AdMob Interstitial Ad identifiers, and how to replace the in-app purchase product identifier. You'll need a Google Firebase account and OpenAI account for ChatGPT API key.

- In the main flow, the app displays a deck of name cards, and users can like or dislike a name with a tap.
- Each time a name is liked, it’s saved to Firebase so the app can detect when both partners like the same name.
- In the Matches flow, users can review the names they’ve viewed and see which names both partners have matched on.
- Users can enter a last name to preview how their chosen first name would look as a full baby name.
- When a match is detected, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen.
- In the Ask AI flow, users can ask a custom question or select from predefined name-related prompts.
- Each AI request deducts coins from the user’s balance; additional coins can be purchased via consumable in-app purchases.
- A one-time in-app purchase unlocks all names and removes ads. This helps you generate more revenue.
- In-App Purchases are handled via a private framework. This framework doesn't support subscriptions. You can use this framework for any other games/apps you want to add in-app purchases.
