Recently the app called 'Poop Map - Pin and Track' made it to the #2 in the Top Free App Store apps, generating over 450,000 downloads in a few days only. This is a trend that is viral on social media and we've created this app to pin and track your drinks.

Everyone goes to a bar/restaurant once in a while and tracking your drinks on the map, as well as seeing where other people are having a drink is pretty cool. This can be the next trend or you can use this app template to create a poop map app.

The app seems to be very simple, yet many people are dowloading the poop map. As soon as the user launches the app, they will be prompted to allow permissions for locations/gps, then they can see other pins on the map where other people logged/had a drink. Whenever you want to drop a pin on the map, just tap the center button.

*** WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED ***
You will need a Mac computer with Xcode 12 installed. This app requires iOS 13+. You will need a Back4App account to handle the database.
The entire app is built using Swift using Storyboards. You will need a Google AdMob account for Interstitial ads that are shown in the app.

 

*** HOW DOES IT WORK ***
- The app will require users to grant location permissions in order to use the map/gps.

- The user can drop a pin on the map and their location will be recorder on the Back4App database. You can also delete the last recorded location on the map or all your records. Keep in mind that the app doesn't use any login/sign up forms, so whenever the app is installed, there is a new record in the database created to identify this user/installation, so deleting the app will not delete these records.

- The app has another feature, where you can see how many times you've logged a drink for the past 7 days, as well as the drinks logged since you've installed the app. Also, you can see how many drinks all people using the app logged during current day. The last section of this screen is the Fun Stats, showing some interesting facts about drinks. These facts are stored locally in the app, not database.
