We have developed a recent translation feature, that stores recently translated text into Core Data. Another great feature is the Phrase Book, where users will see a list of common phrases that have been translated already. The app supports 29 languages (Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, English, Spanish, Estonian, Finnish, French, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Latvian, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Chinese).

*** WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED ***
You will need a Mac computer with Xcode 14+ installed. This app requires iOS 16+. All app templates on this website are for iPhones without iPad support. An AdMob account is necessary if you want to show ads in the app. We provide you with some basic PDF documentation on how to replace the AdMob Interstitial Ad identifiers, and how to replace the in-app purchase product identifier. The app uses the DeepL API, which offers a free plan that allows you to translate for free up to 500,000 characters a month. You will need an account with DeepL in order to get your own production API key that needs to be replaced in the AppConfig file.

*** HOW DOES IT WORK ***

- In the first tab, users can access both the text they want to translate and the translated text. When they tap the input box to enter their text, a new screen will appear for them to input the text they wish to translate.

- The second tab displays a list of recently translated texts. Notably, this tab, along with other tabs that showcase translated content, offers users the ability to copy the text or employ the native iOS text-to-speech feature to have the text spoken aloud. The text-to-speech feature is not supported for these languages: Latvian, Slovenian, Lithuanian, Estonian. Recently translated texts are stored locally in Core Data on the user's device.

- The third tab is dedicated to the phrase book, featuring a collection of pre-translated common phrases. This list is populated from a local JSON file, and it's easy to expand by adding more phrases. Initially, this feature is locked, and users can unlock it via a premium non-consumable in-app purchase.

- The final tab is designated for app settings. Here, users can check their coin balance, which can be easily adjusted through AppConfig. Each translation incurs a cost of 1 coin, and users have the option to purchase additional coins through consumable in-app purchases. The coins that the user has are not related to the API usage or limits.

- In-App Purchases are handled via a private framework. This framework doesn't support subscriptions. You can use this framework for any other games/apps you want to add in-app purchases.
